Stress is tough to deal with. That mental anxiety and physical pressure/tension you feel actually make it harder to deal with the stressful situation you are in. It’s an endless loop that stress itself makes situations even more stressful.
Stress has its benefits for survival, but we often have stress when the situation is more complex than a simple “fight or flight” situation.
Positive stress or “Eustress” (our body’s reaction when we deal with accomplishment) is useful for motivating us and helping us deal with challenges. Winning a competition, being in love, excitement in planning a wedding and handling your deadlines at work are activities when you could feel positive stress.
