Tom Brady. Superb performances of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction. TV commercials costing millions of dollars.
What do all of these have in common? Quite simple: They have been or are part of that world-famous annual sport spectacle, the Super Bowl.
This year’s Super Bowl, known as Super Bowl LI, will take place at Houston’s NRG Stadium. The highlight of this event will be the match between AFC champions New England Patriots and the NFC victors, the Atlanta Falcons.
What to Expect
Aside from watching a heart-pounding match from the best of the best in the league, there are other things worth looking forward to.
First, the national anthem performance is always eagerly awaited by the spectators. Lady Gaga did an amazing job of singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” last year. This year, this huge responsibility falls on the shoulders of country singer Luke Bryan.
The halftime show is also always something worth waiting for and watching. Past performers have included Beyonce, Madonna, Katy Perry, and Bruno Mars. This year, Lady Gaga joins the club as she is set to perform during the halftime show. And according to sources, she plans to do the show without any surprise guests (think Destiny’s Child, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Missy Elliott, etc.)
Each year, various well-known brands spend millions of dollars on their ads and work for a spot on the Super Bowl. Although the same players will be featured this year, you definitely won’t be disappointed with the lineup of commercials for Super Bowl LI. Budweiser, Snickers, Victoria’s Secret, Mountain Dew, and Mercedes-Benz all had great ads last year and you can expect them to spare no effort and money in topping them this year.
Of course, you can expect a lot of parties before, during, and after Super Bowl LI. You won’t be able to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking, and eating fatty, unhealthy food to celebrate and to simply join the fun. Since this is a momentous annual event, you are allowed some leeway. But to stay healthy and fit during and after all the festivities, don’t forget to detoxify. You can easily do so with the right health products. Aside from feeling better inside and out, you’ll also have some peace of mind that all the unhealthy and even harmful substances you ingested will be flushed out of your system. You can then ease back into your daily routine without any problems or guilt.
